Missions Committee

The Missions Committee is one of the core ministries of our church that guides our membership in ways to participate in missions and ministries in our local, national, and global communities.

MISSION PARTNERS

Focus projects include Kindom Community and Camps, Austin Street Center, Plano Overnight Warming Center, Family Literacy Center, Rose Dunbar School of Liberia, Synergy Wesley Foundation, Dobie Primary School, and The Network of Community Ministries. Also we support established organizations such as United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). We often work with two other AUMC committees… Dobie Primary School Committee and Church & Society Committee efforts with Justice For Our Neighbors (JFON) organization.

These efforts involve things like:

  • providing school supplies and uniforms to Dobie Primary students

  • providing a meeting place at our church for prescreened immigrants to receive legal aid

  • collecting Christmas gifts for needy children

  • providing volunteer hours and donations to help Network clients in need of temporary assistance

  • and much much more.

THE MISSIONS FUND

The Missions Fund allows Arapaho United Methodist Church to answer God’s call to care for our neighbors in greatest need. We recognize the impact we make is greater together. The Missions Fund brings us together to financially support our church’s mission and outreach partners who are most effectively serving our communities.
